Feathers in Focus

These works represent a few attempts, just since the start of 2026, to reign in my sketch-ish tendencies in favor of some more grounded, detailed avian works. Sketching captures a life and energy all its own, which I (clearly) adore. But I know I need to invest more time in the slow, and careful styles which wield the stunning magic of a feathered world in sharper focus. For a couple of the birds, I have included progress photos from earlier in the development of the drawings.
